Mike MONCE is currently on the road. He shot these images ....at the Dulles facility of the SMITHSONIAN AIR & SPACE MUSEUM (I think it is) .... and he asked me to present the following, for everyones appreciation, and on his behalf .... You might klike to add a bit of commentary Mike .... just to tie everything up Mark C AKL/NZ

Nice photos Mike and thanks for letting Mark show them to the rest of us.
I like the first photo most due all the legends 'cramped' into one photo: Concorde, Boeing 307, Boeing 367-80, Junkers Ju 52/3m, Learjet 23 and Bob Hoover's Shrike (I'm sure that the experts can identify more birds in the other photos).

Thanks Mark for putting this up...I don't have the right access while traveling. I thought everyone would like the Dash8 and the Concorde. It's an overwhelming museum for an aviation enthusiast wtih some many historical planes sitting right in front of you. BTW, the B29 is the Enola Gay. When I return home, I'll also post a pic of the shuttle Discovery. As my daughter said, the need to actually touch these machines is very powerful just to connect with the history is a tactile way....of course no one is allowed to get close enough to do that...which in some sense it too bad.

Hi Mike,
I can't imagine how you must have felt while you were visiting that place. I doubt that I will travel to the US (too expensive for me). I'm sure that your brain was in awe all the time, right?
