Does anyone have some good recommendations to some alternative afterburner effects for this awesome craft?
Also, is there a way i can get the afterburner effects activated by the light sytem at full throttle?
Cheers!

I don' t know of any altrnative afterburn/reheat effect/s that might be applied to this particular simulation .... other than those we already offer .... and which are precisely what was supplied to us by FSFT. What´s provided is "about right" though (since one doesn´t really want to invest in anything stronger, or lighter, to my own way of thinking) and which currently display as follows .... There "IS" (as I recall .... it´s been a while since I last flew CONCORDE) a limitiation with the power system featured within these CONCORDE simulations, in that any engine thrust setting "in excess on N2 98%" will automatically activate the afterburn/reheat system .... piano keys and AB/RH lights activated or not .... so .... one really needs to watch this during thrust reduction after T/O .... THEN .... once again also during the push to assist acceleration to MACH 2.00 way beyond 35,000 FT. In the cruise .... above 50,000 FT .... one effectively can´t use a power setting of N2 100% (without afterburn/reheat auto-engasging) and in order to maintain MACH 2.00 cruise or the AB/RH system can be accidentally engage. One´s therefore limited to a maximum cruise power setting of around N2 95%/N2 96% .... BUT .... which has precisely intended result. "IF" .... one refers to the following link .... I´ve written a procedure/tutorial especially for flying CONCORDE .... from engine startup to engine shutdown (SEE "SECTION 3" in particular) .... and which describes the best way in which to fly these simulations .... IMHO .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/5004/concorde-installation-handling-notesCONCORDE .... is actually "the most difficult/challenging" simulation to fly (properly/well .... in terms of technique, I mean, since the panel/S are quite simple) currently offered by HJG Adhering to the precribed technique .... "and to the very letter of its description I mean" .... is absolutely essential with these simulations. Get this technique wrong .... or otherwise miss-time things .... THEN .... everything can start going to hell in a handbasket .... and quite quickly too. The procedure/s I´ve written are intended to aid avoiding this Mark C

Yeah I've read the "how to" on this bird, what I'm asking is how can I implement the afterburner effects to the light system, as with the smoke system I cant get other afterburner effects to match up with the exhausts on the concorde. Hope you understand. :-)

YEAH ... I copied what you asked originally .... but .... focussed the greater part of my response around the thrust lever and afterburner/reheat function/s (and its current limitations) which are tied into both the lights (I assume you meant the AB/RH lights) and piano keys .... so far as I understand
As I (perhaps) "hinted" within the first line of my response .... I´m not aware of any other effect that may be tied into this feature.
I suspect it´d require a combination of recompiled "gauge and effect/s" interaction in order to order to be able to work peoperly .... or even better.
In short .... I´m not sure what you´re asking is actually possible .... unless there was a major recompile of something, somewhere, but, which simply isn´t on the cards here at this time.

Actually .... "thinking about things" .... there may be an alternative afterburner/reheat effect/s file. The one supplied with the TU144 CONCORDSKI .... by SAMDIM DESIGN I think it is, but, I´m not sure .... As can be seen (above) these effect/s with this TU144 simulation are more "subtle" "IF" succssfully applied to the FSFT PM2 simulation in place of the current effect/s file then it might work .... BUT ..... I doubt that it´ll work any different technically .... meaning the same technical infidelties currently evident with the thrust levers and AB/RH system would still apply. Mark C BOG/CO

Th best afterburner effects ive ever seen are on the FLight Sim Labs Concorde for FSX, but its FSX only and the effects make FS2004 crash... So I found and currently use these. Experimenting atm, but so far so good.
