Hello all! I noticed a very minor (and easily corrected) issue with the DC-8 panels of the Series 10 through 40. If you look at the overhead panel, you'll notice the "Main Inst Lights White" switch on the left side is somewhat misaligned with respect to the text on the panel underneath, probably due to a rework of the overhead bitmap at some point in time.
If you want to correct this, open the panel.cfg file and scroll down until you find, under the section [Windows02], the following line:
gauge14=DC8sw!FLOOD_SW, 16,28,30
Change the numbers so it now reads as follows:
gauge14=DC8sw!FLOOD_SW, 14,54,30
This will shift the alignment of the gauge so it lines up correctly. The tweak applies to the Ship One, -10, -20, -30, and -40 panels, so you must revise the panel.cfg of each of those panel versions.
The remaining versions have a different bitmap and the switch lines up correctly on those.
If you have trouble saving the revised panel.cfg file, just right click and verify that the "read-only" box is unchecked.

You must have been using versions of each of these HJG DC-8 panels that are earlier than the "December 2007" dated currently downloadable ones. A minor misallignment of this particular O/H sub panel feature "WAS" discovered during 2007 (it consealed half of the visible placarding for this lighting switch) .... and which was, according to my own installations of these panels, corrected (as best we could at the time) within the abovementioned re-uploads to appear as follows .... DC-8 SHIP ONE 1958 O/H sub panel DC-8-10 O/H sub panel DC-8-20/-30/-40 O/H sub panel "IF" .... anyone is still using pre-December 2007 versions of the above DC-8 panel versions .... or .... is seeing any degree of misallinmenmt in regard to the abovementioned O/H sub panel (only) feature, then, the correct re-allignments/fixes are actually as follows .... FOR the DC-8-SHIP ONE 1958/-10/-20/-30/-40 PANELS ONLYOpen the PANEL.CFG. Go to the [Window02] section of each of these PANEL.CFG files. Identify the GAUGE 14 data .... and edit the data line (for this particular gauge only) to read precisely as follows .... gauge14=DC8sw!FLOOD_SW, 16,54,30"DO NOT" make any other adjustments though The above edits "WILL"/should correctly adjust this feature for any older or yet unedited panel versions for each of the 6 abovementioned DC-8 aircraft type specific O/H sub panels. O/H sub panels fo each of the DC-8--50/-60 and -70 SERIES aircraft were "not known to implicated". Mark C AKL/NZ

Thank you Mark! I went back to my files to make sure I have the latest and greatest. I downloaded the affected panels again from the website, but it looks like the files available for download right now still appear to have the misplaced gauge. Not a big deal to correct manually in the panel.cfg file, I figured I'd share this in case anyone was seeing the same issue as me.
Thank you for your support!

That "IS" very odd .... because my own (backup) stock copies of what's uploaded definitely show these edit/s having been applied.
We expect to release a signifiant DC-8 update and expansion very soon (representing just over 3 years work), so, I'll look further into this matter prior to this release.
In the meantime ....
Folk encountering the issue reported by "MIRAGE3C" should edit the GAUGE 14 (only) data line within the [Window02] section of each of their DC-8 SHIP ONE 1958, DC-8-10, DC-8-20, DC-8-30, and DC-8-40 PANEL.CFG files .... by applying the above recommeded edit as posted by me "in red"
