Somehow I have lost my folder on my desktop that had quite a few megabytes of info and decals, images for my repaints that I have worked on or plan to work on, a real pain as I cant find it anywhere, I have looked on my back up disk but the file that holds the desktop is unreadable, not been hit by a virus so i guess its been deleted by accident This means a huge delay on my next work which I was about to start tonight I run windows 7 and cant understand what silly mistake I made

Did you have other folders near the lost folder?
Did it accidentally get shoved into another folder?

It's a "POSSIBILITY" Tony ! A folder being accidentally "bumped" into another folder .... even I've done that .... to my initial consternation at the time. What a erelief it was ehen I realised what I'd done .... and recovered it In my case a an HD "search" turned up the locatiion discrepency/accident bumping. Mark C AKL/NZ

Thank you all for your replies, I think what happened my folder called 727 which held all the stuff was right next to the recycle bin (silly me) and it got dragged i when I was deleting stuff hence it went... Thanks for the links Aharon. I have tried one of the progs and recovered about 20% of my stuff, better than nothing so it is a start
