Hi, I'm looking for contact information to obtain permission to upload to Avsim an updated re-paint for Mr. Verlin's DC-8-51 for Eastern Airlines. I've used photo-texturing for the hockey stick colors and also photo-texturing for the engines and pylons. I'm an experienced painter who did lots of work on photo-texturing L-188's. Can't seem to find a way to get permission. Thanks Bill Schulz KBDL www.flyelectra.com

Bill .... you're in the right place posting your question here. Thanks for asking .... but .... because your repaint is of an aircraft and airline subject we already represent here, I'm very sorry to have to advise we can't approve it being uploaded elsewhere into the public arena. If your subject were not one already represented here then it might be a completly different story .... of course. An alternative: I invite you to post a couple good screenshots here of your repaint here. If we consider it's better than the one we already host then we "may" be interested in hosting it "here" for you to replace the file already represented .... in which case we'll talk further Mark C AKL/NZ

Thanks Mark...do you want me to post in this thread with the screenies, or in the screenshot area?
I'll do a "before and after" comparison.
Yours,
Bill

Mark,
I don't have access to a web site/photo service to be able to post the photos...here is my email and if you would like, send me an email and I'll send you a detailed before/after photo for your review.
Thanks
Bill

I recommend setting up a free "PHOTOBUCKET" image hosting a/c. Upload your pictures there so they can be linked to and displayed here for everyone to see and enjoy. I suggest just post those images as an extension to this thread .... since this's probably what any interested folk are already focussing on right now. Also .... please refer to the PM I've just sent you here too Mark C AKL/NZ
