Hola and hello! the other day I was playing arround wir AI traffic Planner, since I wanted to try the HGJ provided AI traffic. By a click to fast I erased all my present Traffic files and got empty. So I extended my plans now to create only classic AI traffic. And this is working really fine! I would like to thank you for the amazing Models and Paints for DC8 60 and 70ht series! I was really WOW!! how the look and behave. I tried the traffic in the simulater (FS9) and all showed up as I have put in the Traffic planner. The only thing is, that I can not hear the engine sound of the AI AC! I think I have erased it with my standard AI!? Have anyone experienced the same thing! I have installed now 8 Dc8 giving them a routing from KBOS to CYYR and vice versa. Looks really awesome when the line up, flying on route some miles ahead or behind and arrive at the same time to line up on the ILS, and it is amazing to watch them, touching down and taxi to there Gates or Cargo Aprons. Here some fotos: Congratulations again for this outstanding additions of AI traffic. Michael

FS 9 uses the same sound sets for all aircraft, unlike FSX, which can have separate sound sets for each AI aircraft. Because of this, there is no sound entry in the config file. It is handled by the ai engine. So it is not be possible to delete just one set of sounds, unless you manually delete them from FS. They all live in the FS9 sound folder, and are preceded by ai in the file name. There is something like half a dozen of them. So if all are missing, check the sound folder for files beginning with ai to make sure that they present if all the ai sound is missing. Let me know how you get on. Best regards. Paul

Hello Paul, Mark
thank you for the help and advises. As Paul mentioned I took a look at my soound folder in FS9. The sound you are talking about where there in place. But sill could not hear the sound. So i have download a new AI sound files from Avsim i could found. After that I was able too hear the sounds. So the problem seems to be solved. Only the loudness is very poor. Try to get this fixed. Now I am able to produce my new classic AI.
Thank you again and my ybest wishes
Michel

Bear in mind .... the AI audio (only) that we/HJG provide is for "FSX" use exclusively.
Sorry .... I forgot to mention that previously.

Hello Mark, yes I have noticed it! Now I will have another issue for the AI AC. Hope you can help me on on this: Is it possible to use one singel AC with Reg.Nr. for assigning multiple legs on one day from different airports? f.e. I have arranged an DC71 at BIKF flying to EHAM, leaving at 0935 LT. And other ones too. This DC71 i uses also for assigned flights in US area. The plane shows up, receive the clearance and then disappear!
Maybe someone has made also flightplans a can help me out in this matter. Should I change the Reg. No.? or do I have to download an seperate plane? Only 10 minutes before the departure of the 71 I have assigned and Island Air to leave BIKF also to EHAM as the only assigned flightplan for this partivular AC. And this one works fine. It is receiving clearance, taxi clearance and I can follow the whole way to the Runway and can watch it taking of, even the smoke effects from the engines is visible.
Thank you for any hint on this Regards
Michael

Hi,
When you create an AI aircraft (i.e. an AI flight plan), you are creating a physical aircraft that cannot do "magical things" like fly in Europe and in the US at the same time. If you want a plane flying around Europe and a plane flying around the US (with no flight connecting the two locations) you need to create 2 flight plans.
As for the reg number, I don't think anyone will notice that there is are two planes, 1 in Europe and 1 in the US, flying with the same reg number. Don't worry about it. If the plane is an airliner, ATC will never speak the reg number anyway and no one will notice. If not an airliner flight, for each flight plan you can give them different reg numbers for each plan, keeping each flight separate. No one will notice that the ATC reg number and the painted reg number do not match.
Hope this helps,
