Any Chance of doing one of the ill fated air memphis 707's? To me there one of the coolest looking of the present day 707's I beleave they had stage 3 hushkits similar to the Lowa LTD 707 www.airliners.net/open.file/0731947/M/the last one overan the runway in 2004 and was written off unfortunatly BTW Thanks for the hardwork, I have many of the jets on this site.

The blue from SU-PBB is a nice livery too. I remember seeing a sad one of that jet in the scrapper on airliners.net

I have the model built for SU-AVZ, I just need the right font for the fuselage titles. If anyone would like to help, please feel free. Once her paint looks right I'll upload her. Cheers, Gary

wow nice model gary! Very thankful someone has done the Air Memphis livery. Found this pic if it helps. Looks like some kind of white outline bordering the letters. www.airliners.net/open.file/0471636/L/

Just a word about that Roman font
The "A" and the "M" are quite different with a thin left side on the real one

Sorry Tony, I had this one buried in my stack of "stuff to do" for a while, and only now pulled it out when the subject was brought up. I'll keep looking for the right text, but If I can't find it, I might just get it as close as I can. Cheers, Gary

as does TNR Garry, only one should put a white outline in it. as far as i can see,it is either times new roman or a slight variation on it. the ends of the S and E for instance are the same. also notice how the right tilted beam of the M is smaller, just as it is above.

I see what your saying, I'll try it out and see if I can get the outline. Cheers, Gary

Going through Word, Garamond (unbolded) looks to be the closest to the Air Memphis titles. I would try doing the effect that they have by adding a slight shadow to a second line of text that is a couple of points larger than the base (obviously this would have to be done letter-by-letter) that are just outlines.
