Hello,
I have been exclusivly using the modified HJG Panagra DC-8 you made for me(changed to N8274H) in my real Panagra N8274H DC-8 flight deck and am always proud to show it off ;D
I recently download the latest DC-8 basepack and moved my N8274H textures to it and I am happy to now use the HJG smoke effect!
I also downloaded the HJG DC-8 panel and I was happy to see my frame rated go up! it is also the best looking virtual DC-8 panel I have seen, the others on my harddrive were quickly deleted.
Now, to my request. When flying in the real flight deck I obiously dont need to actually see the panel view on my monitor, I just need features like the DC-8 sounds that are included with the panel. In particular I need to be able to toggle the fasten seat belt and no smoking "dings" via a real toggle switch in my flight deck, but only provision to toggle it in the software is with a mouse click and this obviously does not work when the panel is out of view.
Can you add separete keyboard commands, one to toggle the no smoking and one for the seatbelt sign?
The object is to allow me to select and use two separate stewardess recordings to play over the sound system by replacing the ding wave files with stewardess recordings for the enjoyment of extra people in the flight deck since my flight deck can seat about 5 passengers. If the two ding sounds can be activated separately by two separate keyboard command this should work beautifully.
I also need a keyboard command for the engine start sequence where there is chatter with the guy on the ground.
On another note, I just discovered when I hit a wrong keypress that the door on the DC-8 can be opened and closed! It took me a while to figure out how I had got it to open. Are there any other cool hidden functions like this I should know about?
