I've been watching all this from the sidelines ....

I was actually going to suggest you consider do that Benny .... because as an aviation photographer myself, and for the past 39 years (since 1979), I can assure everyone that what Chris relates to .... in terms of weather, time of day lighting, age of original material, as well as other technical/reproduction/display related influences too (photo aren't always the best, or even a reliable source .... something even I, myself, have seen many times over throughout my own career) .... "IS" in fact "QUITE CORRECT" .... and in any case grey/gray "IS the standard (if not uniform) USAF base colour

So .... there's no need to do a 2nd version of the existing texture .... all we need to consider doing us updating/correcting the texture we currently hold .... and there should then be no further issue/s

Mark it would need to be completely redone i.e. new wing textures etc. Shouldn’t be a problem with the correct FS codes kindly provided to us by Chris.

Yours "new replacement file" would .... in my own eyes .... be all that's necessary

Don't badger the painters please Alex

They do what they do "if" they want .... "when" they want .... and more importantly in "their own good time" too since its' a favor they're doing .... if they do anything at all.

It can't work any other way.

"IF" they do it then they'll post a preview .... "when they're ready"
