When ever I takeoff or landing roll there is a continuous hum sound similar to a sound of brakes being applied that I've heard on other aircraft in the sim when I'm not applying brakes at all.
It disappears at slow ground speed and after liftoff.
I tried to replace the 134roll.wave and the bnroll2.wave in the sound file from another aircraft that didn't have this problem but it did not work.
Is there a solution to this? It's a little annoying but wouldn't prevent me from flying the caravelle.

My recollection is that particular sound "is" that of the brakes being applied .... and has nothing, at all, to do with any of the supporting soundpack/s.
It's part of the built-in panel/gauge audio compiling, so, can't be removed .... unless another panel was substituted (not recommended).
You could try adjusting the FS sound slider volume (these represent percentages of volume one-over-the-other rather than raw volume control) .... by reducing the "cockpit" (only) slider to see if that makes any noticeable difference.
Other than that .... what you're hearing is "intentional" and "quite authentic" too (from a flightdeck perspective) .... and probably more-so too given the CARAVELLE's lesser ground clearance than that of most other aircraft.

So that sound is supposed to be there?
It's not a big deal if it is - I just thought if I could get rid of it then I would try but if it's supposed to be there then ok.

"CORRECT" .... so .... do not adjust your set But you could try reducing the "cockpit" sound slider within FS OPTIONS/SOUNDS .... I think it is .... it may help. Mark C AKL/NZ
