I'm just new here and I say that HJG is the best when it comes to classic jetliners.
I would like to paint the 990 Convair and when I read the FAQS section, it says that none of your models have paint kits.
I'm relatively new to painting and I'd like to put my VA's livery on the 990. I just don't know how to start without a paint kit.
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks.

"MIGGI747" .... thanks for contacting us ! At this time we don't provide paint kits for any of our aircraft. These are reserved for HJG painters exclusively. Nor can we provide tutorials on how to paint models either .... sorry ! However, I wish to quickly add .... as the CV990 ("ONLY") is an "Eric CANTU/HJG" product, it's not governed by the same strict HJG control/ license. For this reason anyone is at liberty to paint the CV990 and upload it .... "SO LONG AS IT REMAINS FREE". Sorry we can't be of more help .... but .... trust you understand. Mark C AKL/NZ

OK I understand.
My paints won't go anywhere outside my VA anyway.
About the 990 Convair though, since you said that anyone is at liberty to paint it, is there an available paint kit for it?
Although I'd like to have my VA painted on your jets, somehow it doesn't seem right that I have it done by HJG staff because its only my VA that would take advantage of it.

Unfortunately "NO" .... in fact by far the majority of CV990 repaints (as well as many non-HJG B707/720, CV880, & DC8 repaints too) have been done without the aid of any PSD files whatsoever.

Miggi
You don't need paint kits to paint
Many of my paints including the two BOAC 707's here were done without kits....you just need to use another livery as a templete and take it from there re painintg and adding detail back it.
If you can repaint at all it should not be a problem.
