I recently downloaded some CRJ's that were originally designed for FS2002. Being a FSX user I have several of these FS2002 aircraft in my hanger, and most of them work superbly with little or no editing the cfg file. These CRJ's are idling way to fast, as the thrust level is set to high at idle. I've lowered the number of the Min thrust scaler to no avail. I have a feeling the edit needs to be in the .air file. Any FDE guys out there no how to do this? I have edited turbo props air files so they don't bolt when starting or taxing to fast, but the parameters in the jet air file are different from the thrust in the turbo air file. I know, (Why in the world am I messing with these, when HJG has so many great Aircraft to select from?) Well, I'm just stubborn, and like to branch out from time to time! Denny aka Falcon

It "IS" an AIR.FILE related modification Denny .... and one which might have a degree of interaction with gauges programming too if any customized panel is involved. These sorts of adjustments are "a specialist type job/modification" .... beyond the limitations of my skills even Adjusting the CFG data will not resolve this particular issue Mark C AKL/NZ

Just make a "virgin" back-up of whatever you plan to work with .... so you easily/quickly resurrect the original unedited state should things not result as you desire. As I mentioned .... thrust curving (etc) is "a specialist/s job" Mark C AKL/NZ

Which CRJ do you have? I have the Wilco/Feelthere and have done mod on its air file. In fact I end up doing thrust curve modifications on almost any plane I get You could PM me about it, or do a search for AircraftAirfile Manager which is a very good air file editor. I use it exclusively for thrust curve modification as you can do it graphically. AirEd is good for editing single parameters such as drag, etc, but not as easily used for the different graphical parameters in the air file. Mike
