Hello. I´d like to request the paint for a very rare bird. An Air Siam 707. As you may know, they flew them for a couple of years besides the 747 and DC-10. If I remember correctly, they flew them for 2 or 3 years before replacing them with an leased A300. They existed from ca. 1970 to 1976. Please, do me this favour, as I fly around the SE Asian Aerospace quite frequently and I really miss them. Thanks in advance. Regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

OOH .... I don't think AIR SIAM ever flew the B707 or B747.
They did fly the DC8-63, A300B, and DC10-30 though !
I too would love to see the DC8-63 done, but, Tony would need good references.
AIR SIAM used both English and Thai ethnic font.
The font style used on the DC8-63 was quite different from that applied to both the A300B and DC10-30.
To make things even more complicated, the DC8 supported a very odd font style too.
I do have access to AIR SIAM decals for the A300B and DC10-30 livery, but, they're no good for the DC8-63

It's hard to find good quality colour references for the DC8-63.
It's very rare !
There is a reasonably good colour image illustrated on PP82 of Terry WADDINGTON's superb book entitled "DOUGLAS DC8 - GREAT AIRLINERS VOLUME 2".
Unfortunately this image is not sufficiently clear to reproduce the odd font style used, but, it does at least confirm the colours employed.

Here is what I found on the Air Siam DC-8-63CF which was returned to Overseas National Airways from a lease still wearing the Air Siam colors. Photo Copyright Ray Pettit, taken at LEBL March 1973. Benoit

WELL .... in respect of that B707-120 .... I'LL BE BUGGERED ! Upon searcving this evening I AIR SIAM dis in fact operated a B747, as well as a DC4 too. I'll need to check, but, I think the "AIR SIAM" titles and logos on the decals here are precisely the same (I need to check) as what appears on the B707 .... so .... that one could end up being a go'er ! Benoit .... that fuselage striping and tail colour in the DC8-63 shot you've provided is precisely what I'm seeing in the full livery version picture I have here. The only problem I think is sourcing the AIR SIAM logo of that period (1971-72 circular version) and titles .... both English and thai versions, which were quite different than appear in the above B707 imagery and later DC10 and A300B.
