This bears repeating again and kept as a reminder...
Too many people forget this is a HOBBY.
Most of us give our time (and in many cases money) freely. We don't expect much in return except a respectful attitude. Too often this is forgotten. So just remember that we aren't doing this as a job, we are giving our time for free before you make that post/comment/email.

Antonio, I like most people in FS love freeware as it can become an expensive hobby! I enjoy the work freeware hobby people do for the love of FS and we can often get requests for work and sometimes that can lead to impatience if what you request does not arrive quickly. I myself decided many years ago that as time is hard to find and to keep my enthusiasm I paint what appeals to me more and more these days, I am not doing it for a wage so its just for fun and enjoyment. I hope to carry on as long as possible and like many others involved in FS we are really grateful for posts like yours that show appreciation for our efforts, thank you.
Tony

Hi friends:
My attitude to FS is: After stopping flying for real, it's my aeronautical heaven. One can fly airplanes and places I never dreamed off. One finds wonderful works of simulation and if one dislikes something of it, one can change that for one's own pleasure. Many thanks for your efforts!
Kind regards
Walter

Catching up at this late stage since time's simply not been on my side lately From an HJG perspective I can think of a couple of excerpts from a particular, and historic, 1940's speech which (albeit slightly edited by me below and for the sake of convenience) possibly sums things up quite reasonably .... "Undaunted by odds .... unwearied by their constant challenge/s" .... we/HJG never really seek "THANKS", but, it "IS" nice to occasionally read it being expressed here because it's something of "a rarity" these days. Although acknowledgement is never really sought or expected by us, it "IS", when expressed, appreciated "by those here whom sacrifice considerable personal time, and effort, in order to try'n freely give our community something decent to enjoy". Therefore, and in summary, the following is possibly somewhat appropriate .... "Never in the field of FS was so much owed by so many to so few".Déjà vu or not .... maybe CHURCHILL had HJG in mind Mark C AKL/NZ

Wow, so true for me also, even tho it has been many years since I was PIC HJG has supplied me with so much enjoyment I can't express my gratitude to all of you Involved.
I never flew airlines, some time in B-17's slurry bombers we called them, and short stint in a Falcon 20c most of my other time was in GA aircraft. But this site has
given me so much pleasure and keeps my mind sharp installing and all that goes with FS. Thank you all at HJG present and past for your kindness and help for us simmers.

In 2004 I stepped into FS. In 2010 I started simming proper, learning about procedures, VATSIM, stuff like that. The same year I discovered HJG packages available for download on my first virtual airline "Air France Virtual Airlines". I first visited the HJG website then and saw the wares and fell in love with historic planes. Since then I've used a variety of payware and freeware. I went off FS for a while in between. HJG products are the only software I've been using continually all through out these time. The level of detail into HJG products is amazing. The realistic procedures, the plethora of repaints, the engine variants and panel variants (no one panel fits all). The level of customization which can be done is not available elsehwere. Sure, HJG products have their own imperfections. But who/ what is perfect? Whoever wants to complain should consider the amount of money HJG is earning through all these products: ZERO. THANK YOU HJG for all the hard work for getting us all this.

That's what I like to read as part of peoples appreciation .... because that's precisely what HJG's mission's been all about since it was created back in 2000 Mark C AKL/NZ
