I don't get to use FS as much as I would like to so I have set myself a goal, around the world in 80 flights, that will give me some planning and plenty of flights to work on. I plan to start and finish at my home airport in the UK a fictitious "Tamworth International" that was made a few years back for me by John Reynolds. I plan to use only HJG aircraft I was going to use just one type but some journeys and airports would restrict the types and it would be nice to fly a varied selection, not sure if I will use all of the types but will see how I go. I think I will add pictures where I can and post the progress when I start

Sounds interesting Tony. If you stop off in Toronto (C-YYZ) let me know. I'll pick you up at the airport and we can have lunch. Herman

I put together a schedule for flying around the world in the summer of 1939, using mostly flying boats but you get the idea. Not 80-stops but 34 in 21days and instead of the flying boat bases, those destinations all have modern airports nearby. The info below has been copy/pasted from over at the CalClassic forum where I had posted on the topic. I have edited out the thirties' aircraft types. Departure is from New York LaGuardia.
; New York Seaplane to Shediac, Canada (use Moncton);
; Shediac, Canada to Botwood NL (use Gander);
; Botwood, NL to Foynes, Eire (use Shannon);
; Foynes, Eire to Southampton UK;
; Southampton, UK to Marseilles, FR;
; Marseilles, FR to Rome, IT; IAS;
; Rome, IT to Athens, GR; IAS;
; Athens, GR to Alexandria,
; Alexandria, Egypt to Tiberius, Palestine (use Tel Aviv, Amman or Damascus);
; Tiberius, Palestine to Habbiniyeh, Iraq (use Bagdhad);
; Habbiniyeh, Iraq to Basra, Iraq;
; Basra, Iraq to Bahrain; IAS;
; Bahrain to Oman; IAS;
; Oman to Karachi, Pakistan; IAS;
; Karachi to Pakistan; Neemach VAUD, India ;
; Neemach, India to Gwailor VIGR, India;
; Gwailor, India to Allahbad VIAL, India;
; Allahbad, India to Kolkata VECC, India
; Calcutta, India to Akyab VYSY, Myanmar;
; Akyab, Burma; Rangoon, Myanmar;
; Rangoon, Burma to Bangkok, Thailand;
; Bangkok, Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
; Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Vietnam
; Hanoi, Vietnam to Hong Kong, China;
; Hong Kong, China to Manila, Philippines;
; Manila, Philippines to Guam;
; Guam to Wake Island;
; Wake Island to Midway Island;
; Midway Island to Honolulu. HI;
; Honolulu, HI to San Francisco CA
; San Francisco CA to Salt Lake City UT;
; Salt Lake City UT to Chicago IL (use Midway);
; Chicago IL to Cleveland OH
; Cleveland OH to New York, LaGuardia
Anyway, have fun and fly safe.
