We'll see what happens. I know a couple of our guys are interested in doing this one .... once they get through their other preferences of course. No time frame on this though I'm sorry ! Mark C BOG/CO

Hi Ben I'm up to my arse in other projects right now..Ben by all means go ahead and do Air Zimbabwe. It's going to be a while before I can break away from these things I'm working on at the moment, that being a huge model ship and home-redecorating project over the past few weeks..the fumes of glue and paint rather stifling at times...{LOL!} Now I've got to beg my wife if I can get the new Revell-Germany 1/350 scale Bismarck kit released last week. I cant wait for this one.. I have the 1/350 scale HMS Hood to build and display alongside her. Revell Germany DKM BismarckBetter details here: www.modelwarships.com/reviews/ships/dkm/bismarck/350-revell-peek/rvl-review.htmlHere's the instruction manual for her released online yesterday! Check this puppy out, the most accurate Bismarck kit EVER! Took me almost 10 minutes to download the PDF file using my ADSL. Check out all the detailed guns on this thing..Amazing! www.revell.de/manual/05040.PDFI've got the HMS Hood, USS Lexington, USS Saratoga, Tzarist Russian Battleships Borodino, Orel, Knyaz Suvarov, Cruiser Varyag, IJN Battleship Mikasa, Liberty Ship "John W. Brown" ..and.. a 1/60th scale Ming Dynasty Admiral Zheng He treasure ship on my "slipways" right now.. ;D {Also looking to get a Soviet 1/200 scale "Gnevniy" Project 7 destroyer from WW2 going too. Just trying to track down the right paint for her. } All of these are going into display in our living room after I get it painted in a Ming Dynasty theme I've picked out. Going to be a lot of fun getting the house prettied up like this. A definite nautical theme. Regards John

Thanks for that John ! Love to see those ships too when you've finished them. John & I also share maritime/naval interests apart from civil aviation and FS'ing. Mark C BOG/CO

No Sweat Guys! I don't want to be in the way of a project that's wanted and can be done quickly. Ben can crank these things out like sausages.
BTW Mark...look for a new 1/350 scale Richelieu and Jean Bart soon from Trumpeter. Also hearing rumors they're going to do the Strasbourg and Dunkerque as well. I had the old Heller 1/400 scale Richelieu and Dunkerque..will be nice to see these in a bigger scale. Also waiting on the Winter 2008 release of the USS San Francisco in 350 scale. I hope I can get her converted into my great uncle's ship, the USS Quincy, CA-39, which he was aboard at Guadalcanal and had his ship shot out from under him. {Not sure which ships of the New Orleans class had different turret designs versus others. There were some differences between early ships and the later ones of this class of CA's. I'd love for there to be other "Treaty Cruisers" of this genre too. Tamiya just released the 1/700 HMS Repulse last week, you need to check this one out. I am betting Tamiya will scale it up to 1/350 scale and THAT will be a looker! Would be nice to have a Renown as well..}
Talk more later guys..and indeed, I'll be getting shots of the models and the house when it's all ready..

I thinks it's the RICHLIEU, and STRASBOURG, that I need from HELLER.
I've got their JEAN BART, and DUNKERQUE.
My greater priority though is those upgrade packages converting the 1/350th scale TITANIC to either of her sisters OLYMPIC, and BRITANNIC, the same sort of upgrade package also to convert the 1/350th scale LUSITANIA to her sister ship MAURETANIA.
