Recently while doing some research about PanAm aircraft (Clippers) I came across this item featured on e-bay. I was quite astonished about the price....$664.00 US. It has to be one of the highest priced PanAm memorabilia I have seen. Click on image 2x to make larger. Then I recalled that I had this very same booklet and I gave it away to someone....don't even recall who....many years ago. The booklet was very nice, featuring large photo's of PanAm Clippers over the years up to about 1969, the 747 being the last. The booklet contained about 10 pages and was made of heavy stock paper. The pages had a slight tint. It was really nice. I recall having an appointment with an Air Canada Public Relations official to try and convince them to publish a similar item featuring Air Canada's historical fleet. He really liked the PanAm booklet and said he would look into it. Well a few months later he did send me a copy booklet that Air Canada had published. It was nice but not quite the same quality. Pan Am memorabilia tends to be overpriced by a mile of late... I just sold my last duplicate ticket jacket for $45USD... it was late 80s stock, nothing weird about it, excellent condition silver & blue. I bought 15 of them a few years back for $15CAD total ($1CAD each in other words). so bit of a markup!
