Two questions: 1. I downloaded the DC9-30 (hjg mcdonnell douglas dc-9-30 jt8d-15 v1.13) and the main folder contains folders Model.01 through model.06. Just curious what the differences are.
2. I installed the DC9 exactly as instructed, yet it still doesn't show up on my aircraft list in FSX. Any ideas why?

The following C&P will answer "Question 1" for you .... PLEASE NOTE: There are a couple of DC-9 3D models files listed that were never delivered (I'll try'n refresh my own memory as to precisely which these were and post an update to this thread accordingly) .... so .... if you can't fins all of what's listed above among the DC=-9 base packs we offer then this's the reason for that. In respect of question 2 .... Firstly .... bear in mind the DC-9 models we offer are FS2004 native .... BUT .... are also "FSX PORTABLE too" .... however .... when used in FSX the modeled DOOR 1L air stairs animation, which works on per the FS2004 "CONCORDE VISOR" key board commands, can't work in FSX, simply because FSX is supported by a different combination of CONCORDE VISOR" keyboard commands. All other assigned model animations do/should work fine in FSX though. Again .... our DC-9 models are FSX "portable". Need to know precisely how you've undertaken your FSX installation process .... but .... for starters you should check each of the following details .... 1. If you're an FSX user .... then dump/delete the default AIRCRAFT.CFG (which is for FS2004) .... then .... rename the remaining AIRCRAFT_FSX CFG file to read either AIRCRAFT or AIRCRAFT.CFG .... whichever file name suffix is in accordance with the file naming conventions on your own PC. 2. Check both the PANEL and SOUND folders inside the aircraft base pack. By default these each feature FS2004 Panel and Sound assignments ... .which will result in an FSX aircraft no show unless edited. For FSX use the PANEL.CFG and SOUND.CFG assignments need to be edited read as precisely follows .... [fltsim] alias=B737_800\panel
[fltsim] alias=B737_800\soundEdit each corresponding CFG file precisely as directed above. Unless you've inadvertently committed an altogether different, and yet to be identified, installation error (which is why we may require to describe "step by step" precisely what you've done), the above #1 and #2 items are the most commonly overlooked steps and that will result in FSX based aircraft no shows among most of the files we offer that are FSX portable. Just coming back to the above stated DC-9 3D model list .... as I said I'd update ....
Despite still being listed within our DC-9 model inventory the following model versions were never supplied/released ....
MODEL.03
MODEL.07
MODEL.08
Again .... each of the above 3 files won't be found among the HJG DC-9 model inventory.
The reason these models were never released (at the time/2009-ish) is because no evidence could (easily) be found among R/W DC-9's to justify their inclusion of them in support of texture releases.
