Asking for a friend....really!! For any of you very conversant in FSX. He wants to save a flight so that it loads back to the exact state. He is using a rather complex sim for an F4 that has very good systems modeling. When he saves the flight using the FS "save" function, and then reloads, the plane has many of the necessary systems, that were turned on at the save, now turned off. Any ideas as to how to make a complete save?? I have a feeling its an FS limitation, as some of my more complex sims end up having their own menu in the top FS menu which then allows flight saves, but that's FS9. Mike

A good question. FSX, like FS9, only saves basic default information about an aircraft. Some developers include data files that save the panel state for all of the systems etc that either allow you to create panel state profiles, or return to the exact state the panel was in before exiting the sim. As Mike suggested, looking in the fs menus for the developers settings would be their best option. Apart from that, unfortunately the answer is that it’s not possible.
Hope that helps, Nathan
