I just went to the downloads page and got a warning that it had been reported as a page that will install malware. I got here okay tho. Is there really a problem? lr.

I got the same warning too!!
It says:
"Reported Attack Page!
This web page at simviation.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.
Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.
Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners."
I guess the webmasters of HJG need to fix something to correct this.

Cannot replicate
No scripts detected, no errors, nothing blocked, no malicious code and nothing blacklisted... what program exactly is popping up this alert?

A "FALSE POSITIVE" .... maybe .... base on personal selected browser security preference/options .... possibly
There's certainly "NO MALWARE" associated with anything offered by HJG .... but .... we'll look into this all the same .... I have already reported it.

Ok I see the issue now, when you actually go to a page on downloads say, DC9-10 you will see the warning sign, looking into the issue now.

It doesn't come up when browsing through the aircraft on an iPad so I wonder if it has been affected by a Microsoft update?

It doesn't come up when browsing through the aircraft on an iPad so I wonder if it has been affected by a Microsoft update? Negative - I usually don't do Windows updates and still get the warning. It is a Firefox warning, at least on my end. Also, I just downloaded files for the 707 regardless and my AV / Firefox identified several of the downloaded zip files as "containing a virus". The files that have been identified as such are: b707-120_western_airlines_1960_139_n74614.zip 707-120_pan_am_1958_n707pa.zip HJG_B707-131_Air_Manila_International_1972_PIC-7072.zip american_airlines_707-123_n7517a_1959.zip HJG Boeing 707-120 v7.zip I have not investigated further, so there might likely be more files affected. Not all files I downloaded got the warning though. The 707 manuals and fuel tutorial zips for example didn't. This virus warning together with the "attack page" warning makes me think there might be more to it and something might have been compromised. I only recently (like 2 days ago) downloaded the DC-8 files and got neither the attack page warning nor was any of the zip files identified as containing a virus.

If it's any consolation to anyone ....
We (at home) have a very good/aggressive private security system (which I won't elaborate on) and each of the 5 B707 files listed above "ARE" .... on the basic of a number of different interrogation settings .... showing up "CLEAN AS A WHISTLE".

Again .... a "FALSE POSITIVE" .... maybe.
Nathan's analysis may be quite right .... given some testing and research I've this evening undertaken. evening.

Hi - Pete at Simviation here. HJG is hosted on our server and I have spent some time looking carefully at this. After Tony alerted me this morning I looked and found nothing. Then I did see an alert in the AI downloads section when clicking a file. Then I went into the FTP folders on the HJG directory and carefully checked all uploaded files and looked for anything odd or suspicious. I found nothing and Tony and I were communicating about this. I then checked the whole HJG site on 2 other PC's and my android phone - using FF/IE/Chrome and Android browser - no alerts or warnings. I 'allowed' or 'trusted' the files on the alert page. Since then I cannot replicate any warning.
Can I sggest anyone still getting a warning 'trusts' the site or file .... then only if necessary, clear your cache.
Please let us know if after this you still see a problem.
I am seeing no alert on any PC or device now. Thanks

I don't see how it could be related to a Windows update though if I didn't do one and still get the warnings. It could be due to a Firefox update though.
Also, I've just downloaded one of the mentioned files again and this time ran my own AV over it. While Firefox again said (in the "Downloads" window) it contained a virus, my AV software stated that it was clean, same as yours. Could be that someone either made false reports to the Firefox team regarding the site or some sort of Firefox algorithm returns a false positive. Windows Internet Explorer doesn't give any warnings either, neither regarding the page nor individual downloads.
