**** HJG Website Update - December 12th 2018 (Christmas Part 3) ****
Welcome once again folks .... this time to the "third stage" of HJG's December/Christmas releases.
It's been a while since we offered any updates for our B707/720, CV-880, CV-990, DC-8, DC-9, and L-1011 flightline .... in terms of either panels and/or gauges/core files improvements.
Thanks to the efforts and dedication of our very own George CARTY .... this particular website update features precisely these and as follows ....
1. "NEW" B707 Panel Gauges Core Files (V1.6).
This's a gauges/core files update "only" .... which replaces the original monochrome WX Radar with a new gyro stabilized version .... among other gauges related fine tunings.
Replace the original B707/B720 panel gauges/core files only.
It "is not" necessary to replace any of the original B707 and B720 aircraft base packs though since "no" FDE or model changes have been applied .... therefore "none: of the original B707 and B720 effects, sound packs, or textures have implicated.
These panels are both FS2004 compatible and FSX portable.
2. "NEW" CV-880 Panel Gauges Core Files (V2.3) .... and "NEW" CV-880-22, CV-880-22M, CV-990A, and CV-990A INS panels (V2.1).
This's both a gauges/core files and panel update .... which replaces the original monochrome WX Radar with a new gyro stabilized version .... along with other gauges related fine tunings .... among which the previously inoperative (in FSX only) Spoilers Deployed annunciator lamp is now functioning correctly.
The 2D panel to outside environment view/horizon has also been adjusted slightly in order to improve RWY visibility during approaches to landing .... as is evident per the following imagery ....
CV-880 PANELS View Adjustments
CV-990 PANELS View Adjustments
Replace both the original CV-880/CV-990 panel gauges/core files and each of the 4 original panels files with these new versions .... both the "NEW" gauges and panels work together.
It "is not" necessary to replace any of the original CV-990 and CV-990 aircraft base packs though since "no" FDE or model changes have been applied .... therefore "none" of the original CV-88- and CV-990 effects, sound packs, or textures have been implicated.
These CV-880 and CV-990 panels are both FS2004 compatible and FSX portable.
3. "NEW" DC-8 Panel Gauges Core Files (V1.6)
This's a gauges/core files update "only" .... which replaces the original monochrome WX Radar with a new gyro stabilized version .... as well as other gauges related fine tunings .... among which the previously inoperative (in FSX only) Spoilers Deployed annunciator lamp is also now functioning correctly.
Replace the original DC-8 panel gauges/core files only.
It "is not" necessary to replace any of the original DC-8 aircraft base packs though since "no" FDE or model changes have been applied .... therefore "none" of the original DC-8 effects, sound packs, or textures have been implicated.
These DC-8 panels are both FS2004 compatible and FSX portable ... though a minor engine startup procedures related issue may still persist "with some FSX versions only" .... since FSX has demonstrated an inconsistency in regard to our prescribed procedures. Should any engine startup issues be experienced "in FSX" using our recommended procedures then the default FSX engine startup scenario should be applied.
4. "NEW" DC-9 Panel Gauges Core Files (V1.2).
This's a gauges/core files update "only" .... which replaces the original monochrome WX Radar with a new gyro stabilized version .... along with other gauges related fine tunings among which should now result in the TRC feature working more reliably.
Replace the original DC-9 panel gauges/core files only.
It "is not" necessary to replace any of the original DC-9 aircraft base packs though since "no" FDE or model changes have been applied .... therefore "none" of the original DC-9 effects, sound packs, or textures have been implicated.
These DC-9 panels remain "FS2004 compatible only" though .... as yet they "are not" FSX portable.
5. "NEW" L-1011 Panel Gauges Core Files (V2.4) .... and "NEW" L-1011 RR RB211-22B (standard engine gauges), L-1011 RR RB211-22B (tape engine gauges), L-1011 RR RB211-524B (standard engine gauges), L-1011 RR RB211-525B (tape engine gauges) panels (V2.4).
This's both a gauges/core files and panel update.
The original monochrome WX radar represented within each of our original L-1011 panels has now been replaced with a gyro stabilized colour version .... similar to that featured within our new DC-10 panels .... as is evident per the following imagery ....

Other gauges related fine tunings have also been applied to these L-1011 panels too.
Replace both the original L-1011 panel gauges/core files and each of the 4 original panels files with these new versions .... both the "NEW" gauges and panels work together.
It "is not" necessary to replace any of the original L-1011 aircraft base packs though since "no" FDE or model changes have been applied .... therefore "none" of the original L-1011 effects, sound packs or textures have been implicated.
These panels are both FS2004 compatible and FSX portable.
Our forum based and online L-1011 manual has also now been updated to reflect the new WX Radar feature and is accessible per the following link ....

The WX Radar featured in these L-1011 panels does accurately detect and display actual FS meteorological conditions. The "gyro stabilzation" feature of these revised WX radar units results in more authentic weather detections during climb and banked attitudes.
PLEASE NOTE: The WX Radar featured in each of HJG's B707/720, B727, CV-880, CV-990, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, and L-1011 panels can only work if a "free" or "licensed" version of Pete DOWSON's FSUIPC module is installed .... any FSUIPC version from V3.50 or later. FSUIPC modules are FS version specific .... separate files for FS2004 and FSX. Select the correct FSUIPC version in accordance with your FS version of choice .... and follow Pete DOWSON's installation instructions. The latest FSUIPC versions for FS2004 or FSX may be downloaded from ....
