I have the 1985 livery with the -9 model/engines. But I'd love one to use with the -7 model as Piedmont used several of these as all (must have climbed like a pig lol).

Just use the same 1985 livery with the JT8D-7 version B722 EARLY base pack and D-7 B722 panel (it's important both the base pack and panel are paired for reason of engine gauges calibration and panel V-speed/simulation weight computations) You can do that. Some B722's and B722 ADV's were D-7 powered but but I'm not so certain any of PIEDMONT's actually were. We do offer D-7 version B722 and B722 ADV base packs and panels along with a D-7 sound pack (separate FS9 and FSX versions) .... as well a number of authentic RW textures for each too (see our B727 TEXTURE LIST). What one does is entirely up to oneself, but, if one wants "historical and technical" authenticity then rigging that 1985 PIEDMONT B722 ADV texture with any of the B722 EARLY (production) base packs "may (possibly) be inappropriate. It can be done though (up to you/the end user) .... just add the whole panel/sound/texture shooting match to one of our B727-200 JT8D-7 base packs .... and in doing so remember to correctly edit that texture's FLTSIM.XX details with the correct aircraft type and 3D model data. The D-7 B722's perform quite well .... by virtue of the fact they're represented in accordance with lower weight specifications. Mark C AKL/NZ

Ah yeh. Of course. My brain always misses the obvious and easy solutions. It cant be the rum I'm drinking... I use the '85 with the -9 but also wanted to try it with the -early -7. Based on some info I had they did have some -200's with the dash 7 engines. And you're right, with the lighter weight, mostly likely handled quite well. Lets find out.

"DO THAT" .... but .... load it, and fly it, in accordance with by "BASIC FLYING GUIDE" recommendations within our following-linked B727 manual (of sorts) on the "BOEING SUPPORT" forum page ..... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7819/b727-panels-installation-handling-notesSee "SECTION 5" of this manual .... and scroll down through all of the types until you come to the "B727-200 ADC JT8D-7" version data specifically. It all works quite well. Mark C AKL/NZ

Just did a bit of research on PIEDMONT's B727-200's .... just out of curiosity.
They did operate some JT8D-7 powered -200's N855N/N856N/N857N/N858N/N859N/N860N/N861N (there may be others too although these are as far as I went) .... but .... each seem to be "early production B727-200's" (those built prior to 1972) and not -200 ADV's.
So, if you want a relatively authentic PIEDMONT JT8D-7 B727-200 experience (albeit that Jim's 1985 texture represents a JT8D-9 powered -200 ADV) you'll need to use one of our "B727-200 JT8D-7 Base Packs" and "B727-200 JT8D-7 Panel".

Having now arrived at the correct technical conclusions in regard to the PIEDMONT B722's. In respect of your texture request .... we don't currently offer this livery among our "early production B727-200" base pack options. If one of our painters wants to tackle it (based on either of the registrations listed above and supported by online imagery), then, we'll gladly accept it .... as it'll fill a current gap. Jim CAMPISI did our "1985 era PIEDMONT B727-200 ADV" texture, so, if he wishes to consider using it as a base for an "early production B722" (not sure if the titles and logos are identical to those of B722 ADV though), then, it's open to him .... but .... we need let him make that choice himself, so, no promises Mark C AKL/NZ

Any one of the following rego's will fit the bill .... all of which were D-7 powered early production/pre-1972 or ADV B722's. Take your pick .... N855N N856N N857N N858N N859N N860N N861N
N857NLivery seems to be identical to their late 1960's B721's and post 1972 B722 ADV's .... although having said this I'm less familiar with their finer details. "THANKS" Jim Mark C AKL/NZ
