ABOUT THIS WEBSITE UPDATE Thanks for all your attention there Dan .... we are all much obliged !
With the following notes I want to clarify a few details regarding what's offered within this particular update ....
1. We have now re-released all B727 Aircraft Base Packs.
B727-100 (EARLY)
B727-100 (LATE)
B727-100C (CONVERTIBLE/FREIGHTER)
B727-200 (EARLY)
B727-200 (ADVANCED)
B727-200 RE SUPER 27
B727-200 (EARLY)
B727-200F (ADVANCED)
B727-200F RE SUPER 27 Each of these contain new/revised FDE for both FS9 and FSX .... this data is further improved from that of our last B727 FDE update during April. In conjunction with the new B727 panels (only) you will/should now see much more realistic engine EPR, N1, N2, EGT, and F/F indications. We encourage everyone to replace their previous B727-100 & -200 Aircraft Base Packs with this latest data. This is esssential if you are intending to using our new B727 panels .... otherwize these panels simply will not run properly. PLEASE NOTE .... if you are updating your original B727 Aircraft Base Packs then you need only replace the FDE (both CFG and AIR data). Do not foget to copy & paste your existing FLTSIM.XX aircraft/texture data to the new AIRCRAFT.CFG before deleting the old one. Anyone who is installing our B727's for the very first time must do a standard full/complete installation of the entire Aircraft Base Pack for each aircraft type they wish to fly.
A new
"B727-100QC (INCREASED GROSS WEIGHT)" Aircraft Base Pack has now been added to our B727-100 section. This represents B727-100 aircraft certified for a 178,000 MGTOW (with a B727-200 TYPE wing) and is intended for use with our 3 new RNZAF B727-100QC textures. The FDE for these aircraft is different from that of the standard B727-100C/F (CONVERTIBLE FREIGHTER) version.
Some B727-200 Aircraft Base Packs now contain additional
"HK2" and
"HK3" models. These represent STAGE 2 and STAGE 3 Hush-Kit equipped aircraft. As yet the appropriate textures contained within our current B727-200 inventory have not been reassigned to these new models (there will be very few changes anyway) .... but .... any of our current B727-200 EARLY or ADVANCED aircraft textures may be used with these other model regardless. More information regarding these new models may be read "HERE" ....
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=previews&action=display&thread=2595Those few B727-200 textures which need be to reassigned to their appropriate new models will be addressed later.
2.
WE AGAIN NEED TO STRESS THE FOLLOWING .... All our B727-100 models are identical. The B727-100C version does not feature an operating maindeck cargo door .... nor does the B727-200F RE SUPER 27 version either. We do not know if EricK CANTU intends to supply these models with working freight doors in the future. If he does then that must proceed at "his own convenience".
With respect .... we ask that Erick CANTU/VISTALINERS not be pestered regarding this. Both our B727-200F and B727-200F ADVC aircraft models do feature operating maindeck cargo doors.
We appreciate our constant reference to both
"EARLY" and
"LATE" aircraft categories is not official B727 nomenclature. PLEASE NOTE .... this has been done for "convenience only" .... to differentiate between aircraft production periods due to the fact that some of these aircraft had more powerful engines and higher operating weights than others. We have attempted to simulate these important differences within our new FDE .... hence the need for separate Aircraft Base Pack files in each case.
ANOTHER REMINDER TOO .... Despite our B727-100 Aircraft Base Packs being labelled
"EARLY" and
"LATE" versions, the UI IDENTIFIER within ADD TO AIRCRAFT/CFG data for both of these these subjects (only) remains labelled
"B727-100" .... intentionally forcing FS to display both aircraft versions under the same
"BOEING/B727-100" category within the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu.
PLEASE NOTE .... B727-100C, -QC, and -F aircraft will appear under either
"BOEING/B727-100C", or
"BOEING/B727-100F", or
"BOEING/B727-100QC" titles within the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu. PLEASE NOTE ALSO .... all B727-100 textures will work fine regardless of which Aircraft Base Pack model they are assigned to. B727-200 subjects will appear under more obvious/correct Boeing nomenclature/categeories within the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu.
3. We are pleased to release our new line of B727 Panels .... featuring 6 separate and modified versions of Richard PROBST's original B727 panel and covering all aircraft versions we represent ....
B727-100 EARLY PANEL
B727-100 LATE PANEL
B727-200 EARLY PANEL
B727-200 EARLY (P&W JT8D-15) PANEL
B727-200 ADVANCED PANEL
B727-200 SUPER 27 PANEL
We are indebted to Richard PROBST for authorizing HJG to both modify and host his original work .... "THANKS" once again Richard
.... and "THANKS" for all your recent efforts there too George !
These new panels are now both FS9 and FSX compatible. All panels are equipped with Weather Radar. Some panels are equipped with INS. Only the B727-200 ADVC & B727-200 SUPER 27 panels are equipped with an AT system.
These new panels are supported by the following new and essential file ....
B727 PANELS GAUGES/CORE FILES This file contains all the new gauges and panel sound files and "MUST/SHOULD" be installed precisely as instructed. PLEASE NOTE .... the recommended installation procedure for these new panels "DOES DIFFER" from that of the original panel version.
FIRST AND FOREMOST .... before installing any of these new panels we recommend that our original B727 panel be completely removed from FS. So long as our recommended installation instructions for this original panel have been followed precisely then its removal should be a very simple procedure. This is simply intended to avoid potential conflicts with any of the new panel files. BREIFLY .... all new panel gauges must be installed inside the FS
GAUGES folder. All new panel sounds must be installed inside the FS
SOUND folder .... and not the sound or panel folder of your aircraft. All of the new panel files should be installed inside the
FSFSCONV folder of FS9 ... and the PANEL.CFG file inside the default Panel folder (supplied inside each Aircraft Base Pack) then aliased to the FSFSCONV folder and the appropriate panel version .... precisely as recommended per the new installation instructions which accompany each panel download. Additionally .... both Aircraft Base Pack and Panel files now feature FS2004 and FSX specific CFG files named as follows ....
AIRCRAFT.CFG
AIRCRAFT_FSX.CFG
PANEL.CFG
PANEL_FSX.CFGBy defult all files download ready for use in FS2004. PLEASE NOTE .... FSX users must first delete the default CFG files version then identify and rename the FSX versios as follows ....
AIRCRAFT.CFG
PANEL.CFG A new B727 Panel Manual has been uploaded .... and we do urge everyone to "READ IT" .... please !!!!
All of these new B727 panels are located in a new
B727 PANELS section of our
BOEING PANELS downloads page.
PLEASE NOTE: These panels may look similar .... HOWEVER .... whilst most of the basic panel instrumentation and layout may appear similar the engine instruments for each have actually been carefully callibrated to reflect known performance (as far as FS will permit) of each of the various powerplants used on these aircraft. It is therefore important that the correct panels be applied to each aircraft type or erroneous instrument readings will result.
If anyone is unsure regarding which panel, or soundpack, should be used with any particular B727 aircraft type then kindly refer to the "B727 WHAT PANEL WHICH PLANE" .... and "B727 WHAT SOUND WHICH PLANE" postings which appear on the "ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT" forum page.
Revised "B727 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING" notes have also been posted on his same forum page. These notes explain more fully and clearly much of the information presented above as well as other details too .... and will be constantly revised in the future. Revised B727 FLYING GUIDES have also been posted .... and an extension to these "B727 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING" notes.
Further information regarding some of these new B727 panels may be read here ....

4. A new DC9-50 Aircraft Base Pack file has been released .... "VERSION 1.12". This new Base Pack addresses some recently reported issues and features other general improvements. PLEASE NOTE .... if you are updating your original DC9-50 Aircraft Base Packs then you need only replace the 3D aircraft model, and both FDE files (CFG and AIR file data). Do not forget to copy & paste your existing FLTSIM.XX aircraft/texture data to the new AIRCRAFT.CFG before deleting the old one. Anyone who is installing our DC9-50's for the very first time must do a standard full/complete installation of the entire Aircraft Base Pack.
The first of our new DC9-20 subjects has also been released. These files .... featuring both a DC9-20 Aircraft Base Pack, and individual aircraft textures, are located in the new "DC9-20" section on our aircraft downloads page.
A new DC9 SMOKE EFFECTS file has been uploaded and is located on the "AIRCRAFT EFFECTS" page of our downloads section. These effects apply to all DC9 aircraft versions so far provided.
2 P&W JT8D DC9 soundpacks are also available from the "DOUGLAS SOUNDS" page of our downloads section. The "DC9 P&W JT8D EARLY" soundpack is intended for use with all non-hushkitted DC9 model versions (those texures assigned to "MODEL 02" .... whilst the "DC9 P&W JT8D LATE" soundpack is intended for use with the hushkitted DC9 model versions (those texures assigned to "MODEL 06".
PLEASE NOTE .... as yet we do offer any DC9 specific panels .... BUT .... we do have a new project under development.
I think that's the lot .... so .... have fun everyone !
