This particular livery "really caught my attention" recently.
Not at all because of its promotional intent .... drawing attention to the plight of some of the worlds most endangered tropical animals species .... BUT RATHER .... because I like the DC-10 (always have) .... and this particular livery, to me, looks splendid on it since not many DC-10´s ever become flyinmg murals or promotional logo jets.
My attention was probably secured by "this aircraft in paricular" though (F-GNDC) because it´s also an AIR NEW ZEALND original .... ex-ZK-NZR .... the "very last DC-10-30" to remain in service with AIR NEW ZEALAND and which we sold to ILFC back in December 1983, and whom leased it to LINHAS AEREAS DE MOCAMBIQUE, via UTA, and with whom it became F-GDJK named "Maputo".
This was an aircraft I once knew very well at AKL/NZAA .... throughout the late 1970´s and into the early 1980´s.
Anyway .... here she is resp;endant in her WWF promotional AOM livery of the late 1980´s .... willed into HJG/FS existence by Camilo and myself last Friday afternoon .... "GRACIAS" amigo por todo ayudar con eso
