"RICO" (Spanish equivalent for "nice") Peter Obviously the Spanish conquistadors thought it was a "nice port" .... i.e "PUERTO RICO". Never been there though to verify this assumption. I'm om "a roller" today Mark C BOG/CO

Ive been the PR a couple times for Cruises... it's a bit strange honestly... San Juan tries to be Miami, but the rest of the Island could be the DR with US flags... but it is a very pretty place... I prefer the nearby Virgin Islands but Puerto Rico is a decent enough vacation option. I wouldn't pick it to live on, the economy isn't great but nice to visit. And it's got enough Rum to sink a few battleships

No problem Mark, glad to do them And here's another of N55AJ, early 1986... this scheme didn't last long at all, but it is the only one with the more common on the 737s "Challenge International Airlines" titles.

Well there is one more version of N55AJ, simpler... but that's all... at least unless HJG releases a 737-200... then theres well lots of them! Anyways, next up will be Suncoast 721 most likely, working on it today but had stuff to do, so maybe tomorrow or Sunday. And big Raptors game tonight (Demar DeRozen returns to Toronto... yes im a Basketball fan and Baseball fan, but not really a hockey fan and i'm Canadian, got a problem with that?) After that I may do another DC-10 or two Other stuff listed above will be coming soon as well. Also started is Air Fleets DC-8-50... it may appear or not soon... DC-8s are a bit more annoying to do than the others.

745 didn't last that long like i said... looks like it was leased to Laker when US decided to retire the non-shuttle 727s in 94... N745US is a non-advanced as well (727-281, ex-Piedmont N783N Pride of Dayton, ex-JAL JA8337) They also had white painted 722s... those will be coming soon

I've just added the final CONTINENTAL AIRLINES/GARUDA INDONESIAN AIRWAYS DC-10-30 installment above (see the CONTINENTAL presentations) .... completing this "historic" represetaion. This final aircraft represents PK-GIA .... which was leased to CONTINENTAL from 1985 until 1987. It supported the mid 1980's introduced CONTINENTAL livery on both side of this aircraft and the airlines fleet # 070 .... but .... retained GARUDA's natural metal lower fuselage of the period and its Indonesian registration with US flags. This particular aircraft was also the only CONTINENTAL DC-10-30 to feature a gold painted #2/tail engine rear nacelle section. Peter .... thanks very much for taking these on .... they look "GREAT" Mark C AKL/NZ

Nice progress Peter. Gotta hand it to the guy (Sir Freddy) .... success or failure he was certainly "a tryer" as well as an entrepreneur. "They whom try, but fail to succeed, may be greater heroes than those for whom the band plays" (Amelia EARHART quote) Mark C AKL/NZ

So... while doing research for Laker Airways Bahamas... in the history of one of the 727s N580CR... I found this little rare gem circa 1995: Was to of become PP-TLN but never made it long enough... TCA Tropical flew one plane, this one, and was apparently flying contraband on it's charters! Aircraft sized by the Brazilian Air Force in October 95 at GRU and the airline was shut down soon after and then impounded by the Brazilian judiciary and apparently there was quite the legal fight over the aircraft, but the aircraft eventually returning to US operators (Argosy International for refurbishment, then Laker Bahamas), then sold in Indonesia where it was eventually scrapped. Aircraft history if interested: www.planelogger.com/Aircraft/Registration/N580CR/498512
