OK, I read the thread about what to do if your 727 is not showing. I checked everything, but nothing works. Here is one of the entries. Can you see anything wrong with it? REED0427 In the texture list of 727 the HJG Boeing 727-200 adv PEOPLExpress 1986 is listed as follows "People Express 1986 = TL model / B727-200 ADV TL JT8D-9 base pack". If you use the B727-200 ADV TL JT8D-9 base pack and then the TL model it should work fine. If you have issues with other 727's look in the texture list what is the advised option. You can find the texture list in the HJG Aircraft Textures Lists This one works fine with me With kind regards GY7361

Textures fine. Recommended aircraft base pack's fine too. Thanks for your help with this "GY7361" "REED0427" .... be sure to use the recommended "B727-200 ADV TL JT9D-9" aircraft base pack and not just any other B727-200 base pack .... or .... you'll find yourself short of the correct/required 3D model. I question the validity of the MODEL= data line in your specimen FLTSIM.XX data C&P's above. You seem to have the VHF_ST model assigned .... but .... that particular model file (and all ST models) is from the JT9D-15 base packs only and "not" the recommended "-D9" version for the PEOPLE EXPRESS teture. When assigned to "the correct aircraft base pack" the MODEL= data line in your CFG should be edited to read as follows .... [fltsim.0] title=HJG Boeing 727-200 adv PEOPLExpress 1986 sim=B727200ADVC_VL model=TLpanel= sound= texture=hjg_727-232adv_peoplexpress_n512pe_1986 atc_id=N512PE atc_heavy=0 atc_parking_codes= atc_flight_number=722 atc_airline=PEOPLE EXPRESS ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=727-200Adv ui_variation=PEOPLExpress description=One of the most successful commercial jet airliners ever designed. I used the "add to aircraft.cfg" exactly as shown for the Northwest texture. Installed the texture into the airplane, all seemed right, using the TL model. Now it shows, and launches. At last!!

YEP .... for all of the B727-200's textures "ONLY" .... always use that TEXTURE LIST.
It indicates precisely which aircraft base pack and model must/should be used with each individual texture.
Be sure to use the correct aircraft type/engine type panels with each aircraft type/engine type base pack too .... and which should/"will" enhance one's B&27-200 experience/s in FS.
Be aware as follows ....
1. All B727-200 textures released "prior to October 2015" must be manually edited with the correct model assignment .... again aided by the TEXTURE LIST information.
2. All B727-200 textures released "since to October 2015" already (should already) have their correct model assignment .... and a also state precisely which base pack, panel, and sound pack is required also.

OK, I see where I'm going wrong. I'm putting all my 200ADV textures in the same aircraft folder. I see now how important your 727 texture list in the forum is. You need to download all the 200ADV models, then put the downloaded texture into the correct folder. I was assuming that one 200ADV type is the same as the others. Live and learn! For some reason, it always worked in the past, but today I need to be more specific. Cool beans.

"CORRECT" .... In regard to the -200 models (this doesn't yet apply to any of the -100's) we offer now .... the models feature different details and the base packs are also now each aircraft weight and JT8D type engine thrust specific too, so, their performances "DO" each vary. It's also equally important to use the correct aircraft type/engine type panels with each aircraft type/engine type base pack as well .... in order to "properly complete each package". Our following linked and forum based B727 manual specifies precisely which panels (and sound packs too) should be used with each aircraft base pack .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7819/b727-panels-installation-handling-notesDo all of that correctly .... and aided by the TEXTURE LIST recommendations too .... and one really can't ever go wrong Mark C AKL/NZ
